Jack on Law & Order

OK so I’ve been “at it” in New York for close to 20 years now, and I can honestly say good things come to those who wait! I do have to give props to Gina, my agent/manager, who took me under her professional wings a couple of years ago and continues to amaze me with the opportunities she continues to create. I was called in to read for the Jury Foreman, who had 2 lines (“We find the defendant guilty/not guilty) and I had those lines DOWN! After the initial Jury Foreman audition the casting team asked me if I would be interested in auditioning for another role, a Tribeca Dad whose son is caught up in a potential child pornography scam (I can’t make this stuff up) Lesson learned, always be prepared and be open and available for that potential “cold read” and make some strong choices. Long story short

I booked the Tribeca Dad AND the role grew during shooting. The opening scenes with all the parents felt like the angry villagers with pitch forks chasing the Frankenstein Monster and the producers needed a more “parental” image of the parents. One week before the episode was scheduled to air we shot the parental scene at the precinct with Marish (that’s Marishka Hargitay to you civilians) Have a look-see on my TV Appearances page. . .
